Our Founder and Chairman, Tim Barnard, received the Outstanding Contractor Award from the Montana Contractors Association (MCA), the state’s chapter of Associated General Contracts of America (AGC), at the organization’s banquet on Jan. 24. The award honors an outstanding contractor each year on their company’s success, participation with MCA and AGC, support of Montana State University (MSU), and involvement with the local community.
David Smith, executive director of MCA, presented Tim with the award. Bill Langlas, MCA’s 2023 president, and Dr. Craig Woolard, professor and department head of civil engineering at MSU, were also on stage to congratulate Tim.
After accepting his award, Tim expressed his gratitude to MCA, MSU, the selection committee, and, most of all, his Barnard team. Tim shared, “No one project helped lead to the success our company enjoys today. Rather, the tens, hundreds, and thousands of decisions our people make in the field and office every day are responsible for that success.”
Each year, past recipients of the Outstanding Contractor Award come together to select the next year’s winner. Tim Barnard joins previous honorees Dick Anderson, Tony Martel, Dean Swank, Brad Talcott, Bob Livesay, Jan Livesay, Al Schellinger, Kerry Gray, Jack Morgenstern, Dan Huestis, Hans Hanson, and Ron Pike. Bob McIntyre chairs the committee.
