Vice President & Operations Manager
"Barnard has a long history of completing some of the most complex and challenging projects across North America. Our people and the culture they have developed are the driving forces behind our success."
Clif Stump has built his career with Barnard, completing two internships while earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Montana Technological University in Butte, Montana. Upon graduating in 2004, Clif joined the company as a Project Engineer. In that role, and upon his promotion to Project Manager, he worked on several of Barnard’s most challenging dam projects. In 2012, he moved to Sitka, Alaska, to manage Barnard’s Blue Lake Dam Expansion Project, earning several national and regional awards, including the Associated General Contractors of America’s highest honor, the 2016 Grand Award, and their Marvin M. Black Partnering Excellence Merit Award.
Clif has spent the last seven years with Barnard’s power transmission group, becoming an expert in the management of large-scale EPC projects. His resume includes the Barren Ridge Renewable Transmission Project for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the West of Devers Upgrade Project for Southern California Edison. The West of Devers Project was recently energized five months ahead of schedule, despite a complicated sequence of 16 outages over a three-year construction period. As Operations Manager/Vice President, Clif continues to pursue and manage projects in the power transmission industry.
