As Risk Management Director, Debbie is responsible for Barnard’s global insurance and surety programs. She works closely with senior management, operations managers, and the legal department to identify and evaluate corporate and project risks, select appropriate combinations of risk retention and risk transfer techniques, and establish the overall insurance program structure. She is involved with Barnard’s project teams during proposal stages, award, execution of project work, and through closure of contracts and claims. Prior to joining Barnard in 2020, Debbie worked as GBU Risk Manager for Bechtel Corporation in their Oil, Gas, and Chemicals division in Houston, Texas.
