Vice President & Operations Manager
“Barnard has a culture that develops and encourages hard work and innovation, and also provides us with the opportunity to apply these traits to the most challenging projects. It’s a combination that has produced an organization of extraordinary and talented individuals who I respect and appreciate working with every day.”
Ben Campbell’s recent experience managing the Central Subway Tunnel Project in downtown San Francisco demonstrates his ability to manage a highly technical, high profile, high stress project while maintaining solid relationships with Barnard’s joint venture partners as well as the Owner. This twin TBM tunnel project for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency was constructed as a joint venture with Impregilo Healy. As Operations Manager, Ben now oversees tunneling and heavy civil projects at the Executive Level, from bidding selection through project completion.
Mr. Campbell joined Barnard in 2001. In addition to tunneling projects, he has been involved in wastewater, water transmission, reservoir, and dust mitigation projects. He works closely with owners and other stakeholders on projects, as is evidenced by his participation on two teams that earned national Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Awards from the Associated General Contractors of America.
