The Build America Award was presented to Barnard in recognition of excellence in the construction industry for the work completed on the 2001 Owens Lake Dust Mitigation Projects: Shallow-Flooding Irrigation. Exellence in Environmental Risk Management

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. of Bozeman, Montana, has gained national recognition with its receipt of a second Excellence in Environmental Risk Management award.  The award is presented by ECS, one of the nation’s leading providers of environmental insurance, to honor companies that show an exemplary commitment to environmental risk management.

Barnard Construction, a Montana-based, Heavy/Civil Contractor, was evaluated on its commitment to and practice of employee training, health and safety programs, contract preparation, insurance programs, claims history, and other risk management practices.

Each year ECS recognizes a select group of “Green Contractors” for their outstanding environmental risk management practices.  From this elite group, ECS presents the Excellence in Environmental Risk Management award to one construction firm whose risk management strategies and programs stand out from all the rest.
