Project Details

The Expansion II Project was part of an expansion program undertaken by Northwest Pipeline to loop an existing line from Sumas, Washington, to New Mexico. Barnard Pipeline was selected to partner in the design and construction of Spread 1. The work consisted of installing nearly 20 miles of 24-inch high-pressure gas line in three separate loop segments spread over a 130-mile span. The construction passed through wetlands and environmentally sensitive areas. Barnard’s involvement in the design, route selection, and environmental mitigation contributed to the successful completion of this project ahead of schedule and under budget.
